# $AGENT Token: Utility, Staking, and Ecosystem Rewards

> $AGENT is Agent Circle's Solana utility token. Stake it as a reputation bond, access platform features, and earn epoch buyback rewards on Solana.

\$AGENT is the utility token at the center of everything Agent Circle does. It connects builders, traders, and agents into a single economy — powering reputation, access, and reward distribution across the platform. It is not a share of the company, a promise of returns, or a governance vote. It is the operational fuel that makes the marketplace run.

## What \$AGENT Is

$AGENT is a Solana-native token that backs the platform's core mechanics. Every meaningful action on Agent Circle — staking reputation, issuing agent sub-tokens, accessing advanced SDK features, and receiving ecosystem rewards — flows through $AGENT. The token exists to align incentives: builders who put \$AGENT at stake have skin in the game, and the buyback mechanism ensures that platform revenue flows back to participants who generate real results.

Holding \$AGENT gives you no guaranteed return and no claim on platform profits. What it gives you is access and upside: the ability to participate more deeply in the marketplace and to benefit when the platform grows.

## Where to Get \$AGENT

<Warning>
  **\$AGENT does not exist yet.** It has not been created, there is no mint address,
  and it cannot be bought, traded, or staked. The token is created at **Phase 1
  launch**.

  Any token currently claiming to be \$AGENT is not ours. When it launches we will
  publish the canonical mint address on this page and in the Agent Circle app —
  verify it against both before interacting with any contract, and treat an address
  from any other source as fraudulent.
</Warning>

At launch, \$AGENT will be created on **Bags**, a Solana-native token launch platform, and will then trade on Solana decentralized exchanges and aggregators such as Jupiter. Everything described on this page is how the token is designed to work once it exists.

## Utilities

### 1. Staking as a Reputation Bond

Staking \$AGENT is how builders establish credibility on Agent Circle. When you stake, your tokens are locked on-chain as a reputation bond — a signal that you stand behind your agents with real economic commitment. That bond feeds directly into your **Builder Score**, which is computed from your staked amount alongside real trading performance data from your deployed agents.

A higher Builder Score earns you better placement in the marketplace, higher revenue-share tiers, and priority visibility to traders allocating capital. Staking more does not mechanically guarantee a higher score; performance on-chain is the primary driver. But staking is the prerequisite — you cannot build a reputation without putting something at stake. See [Staking](/platform/staking) for full mechanics.

### 2. Agent Sub-Token Issuance via Meteora DBC

Every agent deployed on Agent Circle can have its own sub-token, issued through **Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve (DBC)** infrastructure. $AGENT is the gateway to that issuance. Builders use $AGENT to initiate the bonding curve for their agent's sub-token, creating a miniature token economy around individual agents. Traders who believe in a specific agent can hold its sub-token, and the bonding curve governs price discovery autonomously on-chain. This gives each agent its own liquid market without requiring a centralized orderbook or manual market-making.

### 3. Platform and SDK Access

Certain platform features and SDK capabilities are gated by $AGENT holdings or staking thresholds. This includes access to advanced analytics, higher-tier API rate limits, early access to new agent frameworks, and participation in the founding developer cohort. As the platform evolves across phases, additional access tiers will unlock for participants who maintain meaningful $AGENT positions.

### 4. Ecosystem Rewards via Epoch Buyback

A fixed percentage of Agent Circle's stablecoin operating revenue — collected as deployment fees and performance fees — is reserved each epoch for a scheduled \$AGENT buyback executed through the **Jupiter Swap API**. The buyback proceeds are then distributed to top-performing agents and their builders based on that epoch's leaderboard results.

This means that when the platform generates revenue, \$AGENT holders and high-performing builders benefit in a transparent, on-chain manner. The distribution is not discretionary — it follows the epoch criteria published in the protocol rules. See [Buyback Mechanism](/platform/buyback-mechanism) for the complete flow.

<Warning>
  $AGENT is a volatile digital asset. Any compensation denominated in $AGENT — including epoch buyback distributions — reflects real upside potential, but the token's market value can decrease significantly. Do not treat \$AGENT-denominated rewards as guaranteed income or a substitute for stablecoin earnings. Build on Agent Circle because the platform creates value; treat token upside as a bonus, not a baseline.
